Installation Guide

The Installation of this USB ADSL Modem can be broken down into 3 parts:

1. Installation of the Drivers

2. Installation of the Modem.

3. Configuration of the Drivers.

4. Making an ADSL Connection.

Installation of the Drivers.

For Windows PC's: 

• Insert the supplied CD-ROM in to you computer, the disk should automatically launch.

• Select "Install The Modem".

• Follow the Automated installation.

Installation of the Modem.

During the installation of the drivers, you will be prompted to connect the Modem to your PC using the supplied USB Cable.

Windows will then proceed to install the various software components. Please wait until an end of installation message appears or until Windows prompts you to restart your computer. (you may need your Windows CD)

When the installation has completed you will have a Dialup Networking Connection Icon on your desktop and a 'Coloured Arrow' in your task bar.

The colour of the arrow tells you the status of the modem and the ADSL Connection.

• BLACK - Modem Disconnected

• RED - Not Synchronised

• Yellow - Synchronising

• Green - Operational

Included with the installation of the drivers is "DSLMON", this allows you to monitor the status of the ADSL connection, showing real time Receive and Transmit details.

Configuration of the Drivers.

The supplied Drivers (version 1.1.6) were pre configured for the UK, so no changes we required.

Changes to the configuration of the modem, can be made by launching DSLMON then pressing "ALT + D".

Making an ADSL Connection.

Connecting to the Internet is simple. 

Once the modem has Synced with the Exchange ( the 'arrow' has turned green), Double click on the Internet Connection Icon, enter your ADSL Username and Password, and click connect.
